Melanie and Norbert’s wedding at Herresta Lada was a perfect blend of rustic charm and heartfelt celebration. Nestled in the countryside near Uppsala, Sigtuna, and Arlanda, the barn provided a warm and inviting setting for their big day. It’s the ideal oasis and offers a blank canvas to create your own meaningful day.
The ceremony
Originally planned as an outdoor ceremony, the unpredictable Swedish summer had other plans. Just moments before the start, the rain began to fall, and the entire setup was swiftly moved inside the barn. What could have been a setback turned into an incredibly intimate and cosy ceremony, made even more special by the heartfelt Dutch-style speeches from their loved ones. The children were dancing and singing, and everyone shared their favourite memories with the couple. Truly something to remember.
The couple made a memorable entrance in a bright yellow Fiat 500, an absolute highlight that perfectly matched the joyful atmosphere of the day. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a true Swedish touch—a charming coffee cart serving homemade cinnamon buns, setting the perfect tone for the relaxed and warm celebrations ahead.
The dinner
With a smaller, more intimate group staying for dinner, Cajsas Kök from Uppsala delivered an exceptional meal, serving delicious sharing platters filled with a variety of cheeses and locally sourced dishes. The evening was filled with laughter, incredible food, and a celebration that felt effortlessly elegant yet deeply personal.

“Almost everything went perfectly, we are so happy about that! We loved the ceremony and the ambiance from everyone singing and dancing together throughout the party. We also greatly appreciated your help and you going to look for the blankets. We sort of had a plan B for the rain but we did not at all foresee it would get so cold in the barn! So thank you very much for all your help, from the start we really felt like we could count on you with many questions and for all types of advice.”
