A spring coloured love story in the wintery heart of Värmland

Love knows no bounds, and for Mikaela and Anders, their journey to the altar was a testament to resilience, patience, and the unwavering bond they share.

Nestled in the serene beauty of Ulvsby herrgård in Sunne, Sweden, their wedding day unfolded like a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of love, family, and the essence of nature. And of course, with a touch of “farm”.

Mikaela and Anders, who owns and runs a farm nearby, had dreamed of a wedding that echoed the simplicity and charm of their rural lifestyle.

After years of postponements due to the pandemic and the joyful arrival of their third child, they finally embarked on their long-awaited journey down the aisle.

Location

The setting for their union was nothing short of picturesque. Ulvsby herrgård provided the perfect backdrop, with its open views over lake Fryken, lush greenery, and tranquil ambiance.

The Wedding Day

Surrounded by their loved ones, including their three adorable children, Mikaela and Anders exchanged vows in a heartfelt church ceremony that was both intimate and joyous.

As the couple stood hand in hand, their children stole the show with their infectious giggles and boundless energy, reminding everyone present of the purest form of love – that of a family united.

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a quintessentially Swedish tradition – kyrkfika. Inside the quaint church, coffee flowed freely, accompanied by the aroma of freshly baked cinnamon buns, filling the air with warmth and comfort.

It was such personal addition that instantly made everyone relax.

When the guests had arrived at the venue and the mingle had started, the couple made their big entrance on a tractor! No better way to set the tone for the rest of the event!

Amidst the festivities, there were moments of nostalgia as the couple reminisced about their student days, where their love story first began. It was a journey marked by laughter, tears, and countless memories shared, all leading to this beautiful chapter in their lives. We had placed photo walls and albums around the venue from their years together, which proved to be an incredible appreciated thing by the guests!

The couple ended their joyful dinner which was filled of laughter and some slightly embarrassing speeches, with a hotshot-cake.

After that, the dancing began to the tones of Wenger & Leion and continued into the small hours.

Decor & Styling

As planners and stylists, we had the privilege of working closely with Mikaela and Anders to bring their vision to life. Drawing inspiration from the colours of spring and the natural beauty that surrounded us, we collaborated with talented professionals, including the local stationery designer Juliette and talented florist Madeleine, to create a wedding aesthetic that was as unique and happy as the couple themselves.

The result was a stunning celebration that seamlessly blended rustic charm with elegant sophistication. From the delicate floral arrangements to the personalised touches that adorned every corner, every detail spoke volumes about Mikaela and Anders' love story.

It was also the perfect splash of colour in a still wintery landscape.

Karolina has been with us during most of our wedding planning. She has been our safe sounding board who dared to say what she thinks and thus ensured that our wedding day was everything we wanted!
Karolina created magical decor in our dining room and also in the church. Having Karolina as coordinator gave us zero stress before and during the wedding. And yes even after, she arranged everything from the gifts being in our hotel room to the decor being properly packed and just for us to pick up. Thanks for everything Karolina!
